Stationmaster house, located just seventeen miles from Manhattan and
minutes from the Tappan Zee bridge, is a magnificently restored
Victorian cottage, situated high on the Palisades with an unobstructed
view of the majestic Hudson River.
The property offers multi tiered gardens with an abundance of tranquil
landscaping on several acres of land.
Privacy, beauty, and tranquility prevail throughout Station Master House.
The residence itself was built by an irish seafarer by the name of Captain
Joshua Platt. It is situated near the old Erie Lackawanna railroad
tracks, which have become part of a network of hiking trails. Captain Platt deeded
real estate to the railroad and in turn was granted the ability to have a
scheduled train stop very close to his property. He appointed himself
Stationmaster, thus the house got its name.
The area is rich in pre-revolutionary history with diversified
architecture. The exclusive hamlet of Snedans Landing and the riverfront village of Nyack, are located minutes away.
Station Master House offers elegant seclusion for multiple needs. Whether a photo shoot or a business meeting, the setting is a one of a
kind retreat into a bygone era of splendor.
